1. The Buyer will pay the sum of $________________ for the Dog. Total payment is due in full when dog is picked up. Seller does not accept personal checks. Cash is the only accepted payment.
2. The pedigree provided to the Buyer by the Seller is correct to the best of the Seller's knowledge at the time of this sale.
3. The Dog has been determined to be a – Pet/Performance Prospect
A. Dog is indicated to be of a pet quality, it has a disqualifying fault or shortcoming that precludes it from being shown in AKC conformation events and should not be bred. Pet quality dogs generally make wonderful companion animals, although no guarantee is made as to the temperament of the Dog. The Dog is to be spayed or neutered as soon as possible. The Buyer must then send a statement from the Dog's veterinarian to the Seller stating that the Dog has been altered. The Seller will then forward the AKC papers issued to the Buyer. If the Dog is not altered and is bred, a penalty in the amount of $1,000.00 will be due immediately to the Seller and the Dog must be returned to the Seller.
B. Dog should be of acceptable temperament and conformation to perform satisfactorily in competitive events. Buyer understands that special care is necessary for dog and to do well in competition the Dog must have special care, including proper training, exercise, grooming and nutrition, throughout its lifespan. Buyer is responsible for all expenses, daily expenses, veterinary treatment and other care of the Dog. There is no guarantee on the height of Dog after the time of sale. Seller makes no representations or warranties regarding the level of performance of this dog in any competitive activities.
4. The prefix of the Dog's name is “Majestic Joy”; The Breeder will have the Dog registered with "The American Kennel Club" and will provide the certificate to the Buyer. The papers will have limited registration to the buyer, as owner solely.
5. The Seller guarantees that the Dog has had initial vaccinations and has been dewormed. Health papers from the Seller's veterinarian will be provided at the time of the sale. The Seller had carefully bred this Dog from parents that have had their eyes checked for PRA, had the parents patella's checked for patella luxation, and have good heart sounds. Seller does not guarantee this dog's patellas. To the best of the Seller's knowledge, the Dog is sold without health defects. However, the Seller does not guarantee the health of the Dog, Dog can be returned to the Seller for a refund within the seventy-two (72) hour period. The Seller is not responsible for any medical treatment or other care related to the Dog, regardless of the cause of the health condition.
6. The Seller offers a seventy-two (72) hour period following the purchase of the Dog in which the Buyer may have the Dog checked by a veterinarian at the Buyer's expense. If the Buyer's veterinarian finds the Dog to be in poor health, the Buyer has the right to return the Dog for a refund of the Dog's purchase price. The Dog must be returned within twenty-four (24) hours of the veterinarian check and the return must be made at the Buyer's expense. No money will be returned after this time.
7. The Buyer shall assume full responsibility for the health, appearance, temperament and care of the Dog. The Buyer agrees to secure such vaccinations and boosters as indicated by the Buyer's veterinarian.
8. Both Seller and Buyer shall initial all deletions, additions and changes to this contract. No other warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made under this contract except as stated herein. In the event of dispute, the State of Illinois will have jurisdiction over the matter.

If the Buyer is unable to care for the Dog in any way, or does not want the Dog, the Dog is to be returned to the Seller. AKC registration papers must be returned with the Dog signed over to the Seller. Or the Seller must be able to approve a new owner for the Dog. The Dog is not to be resold or gifted to any person or group without the written consent of the Seller.
Seller and Buyer agree to abide to this contract. This is a two-page contract.
